Mark Sharman didn’t build the Mentally Awake OS in a classroom. He built it in the trenches.
Years ago, while working as a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, I was pitching a room of 130 managers at a car dealership. After reciting the Scout Oath—which includes a promise to be ‘Mentally Awake’—a senior manager pulled me aside. He told me
‘Mark, that is the single biggest challenge we face today. People are sleepwalking through their careers. They aren’t mentally awake.‘
hat conversation sparked an obsession. I realized that most professionals—especially independent entrepreneurs—are trapped in a state of ‘mental unconsciousness.’ We react to emails, chase urgent deadlines, and let distractions dictate our days. We confuse busyness with business.
I have spent a lifetime studying effectiveness. I’ve worked on both sides of the Atlantic, appeared on national TV and radio in the UK and USA, and led teams through high-pressure environments. But I didn’t find the answers in a textbook. I built the Mentally Awake Operating System through years of trial and error, adapting and blending the best strategies in the world into a single, cohesive framework.
Today, my focus is singular: I help the ‘1099 Entrepreneur’ – the consultants, the freelancers, and the commission-based pros – move from the chaos of the hustle to the stability of a true business owner. I am here to help you build your chassis, start your engine, and finally wake up
